Job summary

IOM in Türkiye is seeking a Finance Associate to support financial processing, reporting, and accounting integrity under supervision. The role involves payments, ledger entries, reconciliations, and cash handling to ensure timely and compliant financial operations for the mission.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting or Business Administration, with CA/CPA desirable and at least two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
• Professional certification (CA/CPA) highly regarded.
• Two years of finance/accounting experience acceptable with relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare payment requests with documentation verification and invoice checks.
• Enter transactions into the WAVE system and reconcile payable/receivable vendor accounts.
• Follow up with procurement for commitment clearances before month-end closing.
• Manage bank interactions and monitor mission balances.
• Record and file financial documents ensuring compliance with IOM rules.
• Prepare weekly payment schedules in coordination with departments.
• Disburse operational advances to beneficiaries and conduct weekly cash counts.
