Job summary

Optimas International is seeking a Buyer / New Business Source to drive global sourcing for automotive fasteners and related components. You will define category strategies, lead RFQs, and develop strategic supplier partnerships under the Purchasing Manager’s guidance.

The role requires 3+ years in purchasing within Power & Energy or Sustainable Mobility, strong Excel and cost modeling abilities, and willingness to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing or strategic sourcing experience in Power & Energy or Sustainable Mobility sectors would be advantageous.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Strong analytical abilities with cost modeling experience.
• Experience with OEM requirements and automotive supply chains is preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute category and sourcing strategies for automotive fasteners aligning with OEM requirements.
• Lead RFQ processes, negotiations, and long-term supplier agreements.
• Analyze total cost of ownership and benchmark to support strategic decisions.
• Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships for cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability.
• Ensure supplier compliance with contracts and internal procurement policies.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, planning, and OEM teams to support sourcing roadmaps.
