Job summary

Flalingo is seeking freelance German tutors to teach live online lessons to children aged 4–12 from home. You’ll join a global community and deliver interactive, play-based German instruction that improves speaking skills.

This part-time remote role is based in Istanbul, Türkiye. Please submit your CV in English; prior online teaching experience and leading German clubs are a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in German Language Teaching, German Language and Literature, Translation & Interpretation (German), or related fields.
• Pedagogical formation or teaching certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of overall experience teaching German to children.
• Familiarity with play-based teaching techniques.
• Patient, creative, energetic, and strong in child communication.
• Ability to use technology effectively in lessons.
• Proficiency in using online teaching platforms.

What We're Looking For

• High-speed internet, a modern computer, and a cozy workspace at home.
• At least two years of experience teaching German to kids between the ages of 4 and 12.
• Use of play-based and interactive teaching methods in your lessons.
• Experience in giving live online lessons with a focus on improving speaking skills.
• Experience in leading German speaking clubs (a huge plus that will put a star on your resume!).
• Tech-savvy mindset and comfort with online teaching tools.
• Excellent communication skills in German.
• Flexibility in working hours.
• Ability to improvise and adapt to young learners' needs.

• Native or near-native level of German proficiency (C1/C2).
