Job summary

HSBC in Istanbul seeks a senior treasury professional to lead the rates desk, pricing and managing risks in TRY government and corporate bonds. The role requires strong language skills in English and Turkish and deep treasury experience.

The candidate will price fixed income products, support the sales team with market updates, and ensure compliant Primary Dealer obligations while maintaining calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in any discipline, preferably business administration, economics, mathematics, engineering, finance or science.
• English and Turkish High level – Written and Verbal.
• Good computer skills.
• Extensive pricing capabilities for all approved products.
• Fair knowledge of accounting, finance analysis, mathematics, business law, economics and IT systems.
• CMB Derivatives License
• CMB Advanced Level License
• Extensive experience in Treasury and Capital Markets / Banking.
• Minimum 4 years work experience in the related area.
• Able to identify market themes and close to optimum positioning on the curve through appropriate products.
• Being calm under pressure and stressful environment.
• Team player
• Careful and quick
• Analytical mind

Responsibilities

• Support HBTR as the leading market maker in TRY bonds.
• Price and trade cross currency swaps and TRY OIS swaps along with the Fixed Income Products.
• Support sales team with competitive pricing and market updates.
• Manage and control of Rates Trading Desk including the products of Turkish Government Fixed Coupon Bonds and Bills, Republic of Turkey Eurobonds, TRY Bank Bills, Turkish Government Bonds with floating rates.
• Manage rate risk in trading books.
• Carry out fixed income transactions and provide competitive pricing to customers.
• Fulfill Primary Dealer obligations.

• To support HBTR as the leading market maker in TRY bonds
• The Desk has spot and forward FX limits and mandated to price and trade cross currency swaps and TRY OIS swaps along with the Fixed Income Products
• The rates desk is required to support sales team with competitive pricing and market update
• To manage and control of Rates Trading Desk including the products of Turkish Government Fixed Coupon Bonds and Bills, Republic of Turkey Eurobonds, TRY Bank Bills, Turkish Government Bonds with floating rates. Turkish and Sovereign Corporate Eurobonds, Corporate Bonds and Derivatives within HBTR subject to the mandate issued and approved
• To manage rate risk in trading books
• To carry out the fixed income transactions and provide competitive pricing to customers
• To fulfill Primary Dealer obligations
