Job summary

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is seeking a Financial Controller for its Turkey operation, based in Ankara. You will oversee the production of the Turkish entity's financial statements and lead a small team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.

The role requires expertise in accounting and tax, SAP proficiency, and fluency in Turkish with business English. You will interact with internal and external stakeholders to support robust financial reporting and controls.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years' experience in Accounting and Tax, with focus on VAT compliance and financial reporting.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong SAP experience.
• Fluent Turkish and professional English communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in all aspects of general accounting records, ensuring control over the balance sheet monthly.
• Prepare group monthly and yearly reporting information.
• Assist in closing files and prepare presentations for statutory auditors and inspectors.
• Participate in annual tax returns and financial statements for each branch.
• Ensure VAT compliance (EU/Intrastat) and timely payments.
• Control payments to suppliers, states, and personnel.
• Lead and develop a small team.
• Serve as main contact for internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role

As a Financial Controller for our business in Turkey, you will be responsible for the production of the financial statements of the Turkish company. This role will be based in Ankara.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate to all aspect of general accounting records, insuring the control over the entire balance sheet monthly.
• Prepare the group monthly and yearly reporting information.
• Participate in the preparation of closing files and presentations to third parties (statutory auditors, inspectors, auditors, etc.) in compliance with local legislations and standards.
• Participate in the preparation of annual tax returns and financial statements for each branch.
• Comply with European and international VAT rules, including analytical assignments, by processing all the company's declaration on time (VAT, Intrastat,…), accounting for them and making payments.
• Control and ensure payment of third parties (suppliers, states, Personnel...) in compliance with deadlines.
• Lead and develop a small team.
• You will be the main contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

With 5-8 years' experience in Accounting and Tax, and more particularly in intra-Community VAT, you have a good level of MS Office and several years of experience on SAP. You are fluent in Turkish and can fully communicate in English.
