Job summary

WNS, part of Capgemini, seeks a Chartered Accountant to lead closing, controllership, audits and financial reporting for the Turkey market. You will ensure IFRS / Local GAAP compliance, coordinate with auditors, and manage statutory and tax audits while driving process improvements.

Experience in multinational environments with strong Excel skills and SAP proficiency is essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Chartered accountant with at least 5 years of multinational reporting experience.
• Experience in financial reporting, audits, and close processes in a global context.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS / Local GAAP and Turkish regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare standalone and consolidated year-end financial statements under IFRS / Local GAAP.
• Coordinate with auditors for FS audit and manage statutory and tax audits.
• Lead close processes, P&L and balance sheet reviews, and balance sheet schedules.
• Ensure compliance with Turkish GAAP, tax regulations and transfer pricing rules.
• Provide timely business reporting and collaborate with local and global finance teams.
• Support process improvements and automation initiatives within controllership.

Job description

To manage closing, controllership, audits, accounting and financial reporting for the Turkey Market. The candidate should have experience in financial reporting, strong knowledge of IFRS / Local GAAP, proficiency in SAP and excellent communication skills.

Role requires a strong candidate having experience in financial reporting, accounting, managing audits, books closing, controllership reporting.

• Preparation of standalone and consolidated year-end financial statements as per IFRS / Local GAAP and collaborate with various stakeholders, Local Finance team and liaising with auditors to get the FS audited.
• Strong knowledge on Turkish GAAP & Tax regulations
• Co-ordination with Auditors, finance team and business team for resolving audit queries
• Ensuring timely completion of Statutory and Tax Audits
• Accounting and reporting relating to various entities
• Responsible for review of monthly & quarterly accounting and reporting of the P&L and Balance sheets
• Preparation and submission of Balance sheet schedules.
• Preparation of business reports on a timely basis providing accurate reasoning for variances.
• Provide support for timely filing of tax returns, indirect tax filings, transfer pricing report, segment P&L, etc
• Working on liquidation of legal entities
• Participate in new initiatives and projects and focus on Process improvements & automation.
• Monitoring various hygiene areas like open payables, open item management etc.
• Stakeholder management - Communicating and developing good working relations with business teams will be key aspect for success.
• Working knowledge of SAP, proficient in MS Excel
