Job summary

Wanhua Chemical is seeking a Financial Accountant in Istanbul to build and operate the local financial system and manage financial operations. You will handle Turkish GAAP accounting, closing entries, invoicing, and tax compliance within a multinational environment.

The role requires 3+ years in finance, proficiency in SAP and Excel, and fluent English for daily communication. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 3+ years in finance or accounting roles.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) for daily calls and emails.
• Experience with SAP and advanced Excel.
• Familiarity with local GAAP and basic knowledge of international accounting regulations.
• Multinational company experience is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain legal accounting books in compliance with Turkish GAAP and regulations.
• Record invoices, bank statements, and related documents; perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings.
• Assist external audits with required documentation and responses.
• Handle tax compliance including VAT, income tax, and other statutory taxes; support tax firms.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements; coordinate with HQ for regular reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and cost efficiency.
