Job summary

UNHCR Türkiye represents the UN Refugee Agency and supports resettlement and complementary pathways, coordinating with field offices, government partners and NGOs to ensure protection and solutions for persons of concern. The role focuses on assessing cases, coordinating missions and promoting policy implementation.

The position requires extensive knowledge of resettlement procedures, SOP development, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in International Law, International Relations, Political Science or Social Sciences.
Advanced proficiency in English and Turkish.
Strong IT skills including database management.

Responsibilities

Stay abreast of political, legal, social and economic developments affecting protection.
Assist in implementing SOPs for promoting resettlement and complementary pathways.
Assist in development of country resettlement strategies and annual planning.
Promote and monitor UNHCR's resettlement policies, procedures and guidelines.
Guide country operations to prepare quality resettlement submissions and access to pathways.
Monitor resettlement activities to ensure progress against targets and proper follow-up.
