Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Textile Engineering.
• 10+ years in fabric R&D, purchasing, supply chain, or sourcing.
• Deep understanding of fabric manufacturing processes, quality standards, and supplier management.
• Knowledge of sustainable textile materials and certifications.
• Experience with local and international fabric suppliers; Italy and Far East preferred.
• Strong cost analysis, price negotiation, and contract management.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and coordination skills.
• Advanced English communication; travel unrestricted.

We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic Fabric Sourcing & Development Manager to lead our fabric R&D, purchasing, and supply chain operations. In this role, you will manage end-to-end sourcing processes, oversee fabric warehouse and quality control workflows, and lead a dedicated team to achieve operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have extensive global sourcing experience, strong technical fabric expertise, and a deep understanding of sustainable textile solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient management of fabric sourcing and procurement processes in line with the company’s collection and production requirements.
• Establish, maintain, and develop strong, sustainable business relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Search for new fabric resources and alternative suppliers to strengthen the global procurement network.
• Execute fabric R&D and purchasing processes, ensure cost optimization, and lead price negotiations.
• Work in close cooperation with Design, Product Management, Collection Development, and Production teams.
• Monitor fabric lead times and deadlines to ensure shipments align with production schedules.
• Monitor fabric quality standards and manage continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality performance.
• Periodically evaluate supplier performances and implement necessary development actions.
• Follow industry trends, new textile technologies, and sustainable fabric solutions to add value to internal processes.
• Track fabric warehouse stock levels and ensure stocks are effectively utilized by relevant departments.
• Manage the fabric quality control processes executed within the fabric warehouse.
• Manage, develop, and track the performance of the responsible sourcing and development team.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering fields, preferably in Textile Engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years of proven experience in fabric R&D, purchasing, supply chain, or sourcing.
• Deep understanding of fabric manufacturing processes, quality standards, and supplier management within the apparel and textile sectors.
• Mastery of fabric technical specifications, quality control methods, and laboratory testing processes.
• Solid knowledge and experience regarding sustainable textile raw materials and certifications.
• Extensive experience in working with local and international fabric suppliers; preferentially experienced in sourcing from Italy and the Far East.
• Highly experienced in cost analysis, price negotiation, and contract management processes.
• Exceptional planning, organizational, and coordination skills.
• Advanced analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a result-oriented mindset.
• Fluent/Advanced level of English (both written and verbal).
• No restrictions for domestic or international travel.
