Arkel, Türkiye’s leading elevator technologies manufacturer, seeks an embedded software engineer for its R&D team. You will design and implement high-reliability embedded software architectures compliant with Functional Safety standards and support production and ongoing projects.

You will develop desktop testing tools in Qt/C++ or C#, apply AI-assisted coding to accelerate development, perform HIL testing, and contribute to documentation and code quality improvements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in C is required.
• Hands-on experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M) and CAN/UART/SPI/I2C.
• Familiarity with software architecture, technical documentation, and software verification/validation methodologies.
• Experience with SVN or similar version control systems.
• Experience or familiarity with AI-assisted software development.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to plan and track tasks to completion.
• Professional working proficiency in English for technical communication.
• For male candidates, military service completed or postponed for at least 2 years.

Responsabilidades

• Actively contribute to design, documentation, and implementation of high reliability embedded software architectures compliant with Functional Safety standards.
• Provide ongoing engineering support, maintenance, refactoring, and feature updates for active production and ongoing R&D projects.
• Use modern AI-assisted development tools to enhance code efficiency, testing coverage, and workflow automation.
• Conduct HIL testing, laboratory verification, and debugging processes for embedded systems.
• Develop and maintain desktop test and diagnostic tools using Qt (C++) or C# to support testing, analysis, and commissioning activities.
• Document software architectures and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance code quality and system robustness.

We are currently looking for a Embedded Software Engineer to join our R&D Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering,
• Control & Automation Engineering, or a related engineering field (or senior undergraduate students able to work on-site at least 3 days a week),
• Advanced proficiency in C,
• Hands-on experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M) and standard communication protocols (CAN, UART, SPI, I2C),
• Familiarity with software architecture, technical documentation, and software verification/validation methodologies,
• Experience with SVN or similar version control systems,
• Experience or familiarity with AI-assisted software development (using AI tools/coding assistants to accelerate coding, debugging, and documentation),
• Strong sense of ownership, effective task planning skills, and the ability to track, report, and drive assignments to completion,
• Professional working proficiency in English for technical communication and documentation,
• For male candidates, military service completed or postponed for at least 2 years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with C++, C#, and Qt (C++) for desktop testing tools and UI development,
• Knowledge of Functional Safety (SIL) concepts and safety-critical system requirements, or a strong willingness to pursue a career in this field,
• Familiarity with Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Static Code Analysis processes, and software quality metrics.
