Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to troubleshoot, assemble, disassemble and inspect mechanical assemblies. You will support in repairing non-conforming equipment and perform tests with minimal instruction, collaborating with Engineering and Reliability groups.

The role requires a 2-year diploma or Associate degree in Electrical/Mechanical fields, at least 5 years of maintenance experience, and proficiency with meters and blueprints. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related maintenance experience.
• 2-year technical diploma or Associates degree in Electrical/Mechanical field or higher.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists.
• Proficient in measurement and gauging equipment and processes.
• Proficient in the use of basic instruments like multimeters and hi-pot testers.
• Strong written and oral English skills.

Responsibilities

• Review procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification accuracy.
• Configure test stations and systems.
• Analyze and interpret data from environmental tests, and troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Assist in the set-up of experiments and recording data with Engineering and Reliability groups.
• Test and evaluate performance; repair general purpose test equipment when needed.
• Provide leadership/coaching to other technicians.

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician you will troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform the visual inspection of mechanical assemblies. Whilst assisting in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment, you will perform all test with minimal instruction.

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Reviewing procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification accuracy
• Configuring test stations and systems
• Analyzing and interpreting data from environmental tests, and troubleshooting equipment problems
• Assisting in the set-up of experiments and the recordings of experimental data in collaboration with Engineering and Reliability groups
• Testing and evaluating the performance and, if required, repairing general purpose test equipment
• Providing leadership/coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence
• Working in compliance with HS&E policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a 2 year technical diploma or Associates degree in Electrical/Mechanical field or higher
• Have at least 5 years of related experience in the maintenance field
• Have advanced skills in soldering and assembling of electro-mechanical devices
• Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists
• Be proficient in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes
• Be proficient in the use of multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments
• Have strong written and oral English skills
