Job summary

TerrAscend is seeking a Director, Total Rewards for a remote position with travel. You will lead compensation and benefits strategy across multiple regions, setting vision, budgets, and governance, while guiding a team and coordinating with third-party administrators.

You will partner with executives to ensure competitive programs, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive the enterprise-wide Total Rewards roadmap with a focus on attracting and retaining top talent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field highly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits.
• 3+ years of managing team of benefits and compensation employees.
• Experience supporting international organizations with differing state/country regulations around benefits.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credentials preferred.
• Start-up and/or early-stage company work experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision for compensation policies and initiatives, ensuring they are cost-effective and aligned with corporate objectives.
• Oversee salary data collection and ensure competitive and compliant programs.
• Plan and administer long and short-term equity and executive programs under the Board’s guidance.
• Support annual salary reviews and bonus payments in collaboration with department heads.
• Provide direction for total compensation of newly created roles and align changes with market data.
• Report to the Compensation Committee as needed regarding the company’s program.
• Set the benefits vision and oversee plan design, budgeting, and administration across corporate, retail and grow segments.
• Keep updated on market trends, regulations, and practices to develop competitive programs.
• Prepare and distribute information to employees about benefits, insurance, pensions, and 401(k) plans.
