Job summary

Wideandwise, a global on-demand manufacturing marketplace, is seeking a DFM Engineer in Türkiye. You will evaluate designs for manufacturability, optimize designs for production feasibility, and collaborate with CNC machining, sheet metal, and additive partners to streamline production.

In this role you will interface with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve technical challenges, drive cost optimization, and help expand the manufacturing partner network across industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in CNC machining or sheet metal fabrication.
• Strong understanding of process cycle times, materials, and cost optimization.
• Experience working with suppliers, OEMs, and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).
• Solid knowledge of GD&T and quality/inspection processes.
• Ability to analyze CAD models and drawings for DFM improvements.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a DFM Engineer to join the team in Türkiye!

In this role, you will be part of the Project Engineering team, working closely with global customers across industries such as aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial, and medical devices. You will be responsible for evaluating manufacturability, optimizing designs, and ensuring successful project execution by collaborating with manufacturing partners, internal teams, and customers.

This position plays a critical role in solving engineering challenges, improving production feasibility, and supporting high-quality, cost-effective manufacturing outcomes across our partner's global network.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in CNC machining and/or sheet metal fabrication
• Strong understanding of process cycle times, material limitations, and cost optimization
• Experience working with suppliers, OEMs, and cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
• Solid knowledge of GD&T and quality/inspection processes
• Ability to analyze CAD models and technical drawings to identify DFM improvements

Preferred Technical Skills

• Knowledge of 3/4/5-axis CNC machining and turning operations
• Familiarity with post-processing techniques and surface treatments (plating, finishing, etc.)
• Experience with advanced manufacturing processes such as EDM, grinding, honing, or lapping
• Understanding of forming and fabrication processes (laser cutting, bending, welding, stamping)
• Exposure to additive manufacturing technologies
