Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support IT solutions in test environments and contribute to the end-to-end technical infrastructure for ADM Projects.

You will work with customers, define technical architecture, and automate operational tasks using Docker, Kubernetes, and related tools. Strong Linux, scripting, and monitoring skills are required, with up to 2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Maximum 2 years of prior experience in application and/or system management.
• Strong Linux command-line knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of Python and Bash scripting for automation.
• Hands-on experience with containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, ECS, or EKS.
• Operational understanding of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios.
• Solid understanding of SDLC processes and testing frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking.

About This Opportunity

The DevOps Engineer supports the realization of IT solutions in test environments by providing specialized technical expertise across systems and applications within ADM Projects. As a technology expert, you will work closely with customers, contribute to the definition of the technical architecture, and help define and maintain the end-to-end technical infrastructure required for IT solutions. You will also be responsible for understanding and implementing business rules and requirements related to customer systems and applications within recurrent business.

What you will do

• Support the implementation, administration, and operation of applications and systems in test environments.
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of technical architecture and infrastructure for IT solutions.
• Support application deployment and system/application management activities.
• Monitor systems and services proactively, identify potential issues, and support troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Automate recurring operational tasks using scripting and automation tools.
• Support containerized environments and related deployment processes.
• Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to understand technical and business requirements.
• Proactively develop procedures and improvements to prevent outages and reduce their severity.
• Create and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge and stay up to date with relevant technologies and practices.

You will bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Maximum 2 years of prior experience in application and/or system management.
• Strong Linux command-line knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of Python and Bash scripting for automating daily operational tasks.
• Hands‑on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, ECS, or EKS.
• Operational understanding of proactive system and service monitoring frameworks and tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios.
• Solid understanding of SDLC processes and testing frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking technologies.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of application deployment processes and common application‑layer security vulnerabilities, with a willingness to further develop remediation knowledge.
• Good troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Application administration experience with technologies such as WebLogic, NGINX, Tomcat, or IIS is considered an advantage.
• Experience with middleware/application server technologies such as Oracle OSB, Oracle SOA Suite, or IBM DataPower is a strong plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
• Strong willingness to continuously learn and develop.
• Ability to create and maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
