Job summary

Ford Otosan is seeking a Lead Engineer for New Development and OPD, Quality, and TVM activities focused on Electrical Distribution Systems and Switch & Display Systems. You will develop specifications, lead design reviews, and drive DVP execution with global teams.

You will coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing plants, and core engineering teams, manage BoM, and support RFQ and testing activities, while traveling as needed. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience in Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) Routing Engineering and Complexity Management.
• Project management experience, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with engineering development tools and methodologies such as FMEA, DVP, 8D, FEDE, and similar processes.
• Understanding of modern materials, manufacturing processes, and product development methodologies.
• Interest and enthusiasm for the design and development of electrical components and systems.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead New Development and OPD, Quality, and TVM activities for EDS and/or Switch & Display Systems.
• Develop functional and engineering specifications and conduct design reviews.
• Create and execute Design Verification Plans (DVP) and perform TVM analyses.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time deliverables.
• Manage BoM and coordinate engineering releases, RFQ management, and testing activities.

Job description

Lead New Development and Ongoing Program Development (OPD), Quality, and Total Value Management (TVM) activities for Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) and/or Switch & Display Systems.

Be responsible for all subsystem-related activities, including:

• Developing functional and engineering specifications
• Conducting technical design reviews
• Creating and executing Design Verification Plans (DVP)
• Performing design efficiency and TVM analyses
• Leading technical collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams
• Ensuring deliverables are completed on time in accordance with the Global Product Development System (GPDS)

Work closely with suppliers, manufacturing plants, core engineering teams, and global program teams. Manage and coordinate communication among internal and external stakeholders. Support sourcing activities, including Requests for Quotation (RFQ) management, maintain project plans, and contribute to vehicle, component, and system-level testing activities.

Additionally, oversee program-specific Bill of Materials (BoM) management and coordinate FSU, production release, WERS, and other engineering release activities.
