Job summary

Kuveyt Turk Participation Bank is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage enterprise database services, ensuring 24x7 operation and high availability for mission‑critical applications.

The role requires 4+ years in technical IT, strong SQL tuning skills, and experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or SQL Server. Familiarity with Linux and data streaming/AI projects is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in technical IT positions.
• Experience with SQL variants, performance tuning, and database design.

Responsibilities

• Manage database services in large, mission‑critical environments to ensure 24x7 availability.
• Collaborate with system engineering, software development, DevOps, security, and operations to meet SLAs.
• Lead and communicate effectively with staff across multiple disciplines.
• Contribute to DWH, data integration, AI, and streaming analytic projects.

Job description

• Work experience in core DBA team in a large and busy environments such as financial institutions is a plus
• Preferably experienced on open source databases
• Experience or familiarity with data integration/replication/streaming technologies and approaches
• Experience on Sofware architecture or Software development background is a plus
• At least one of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Couchbase, VectorDBs ( Milvus etc. ), Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle etc. database administration experience
• Preferably Bachelor's degree in Computer engineering or a relevant discipline
• Minimum 4 years experience in technical IT positions
• Experienced on Structured Query Language variants, performance tuning & database design, security, coding, database architecture and internals
• Experienced on database systems' high availability solutions
• Database administration for third-party and internally developed applications, ensuring continuous 24x7 operation and availability in support of mission-critical business applications and participating in on-call rotation
• Work closely with system engineering, software development, devops, security, business operations and technical operations to ensure delivery of database services within the SLAs and performance targets
• Good engineering skills in developing enterprise solutions
• Work experience in a Financial Institute will be preferred
• Experiences in DWH, data integration, AI, streaming analytic projects are a plus
• Experience or knowledge of Linux and Windows
• Knowledge of one or more scripting languages, such as Powershell, Shell scripting, Python etc.
