Job summary

Rollic, an Istanbul-based game developer and publisher, seeks a data scientist to join the analytics team. You will work with AWS, Snowflake, Airflow, Tableau and DBT to develop ML models and maintain AB experiment systems for game optimization.

We welcome candidates with 2+ years in data science or analytics, strong Python/SQL skills, and the ability to communicate clearly. Relocation support to Istanbul is offered; the office is pet-friendly and equipped with modern facilities.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or related fields; Master or Ph.D.
• 2+ years of work experience in data science, ML, or analytics
• Experience with A/B testing, ML, statistics, data visualization
• Proficient in Python and SQL; ML on large datasets; Snowflake or similar cloud data systems
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Rollic has over 3.5 billion downloads across its diverse portfolio of games and, thanks to an intensive development process utilizing a massive test pipeline, has a steady cadence of globally hit titles such as Color Block Jam, Timeline Up, Crowd Express: Boarding Puzzle, Hole People, Knit Out, Gecko Out, Drop Awayall of which have gained millions of downloads worldwide within a few months after their release.

Main Responsibilities

• Using our modern tech stack; AWS, Snowflake, Airflow, Tableau and DBT to develop innovative tools;
• Developing and maintaining A\B experiment system,
• Designing user-level and cohort-level prediction systems,
• Working closely with gaming teams to craft, test, verify, and implement machine learning models to make our games better,
• Applying statistical methodologies to evaluate performance and accounting for uncertainties in major initiatives;

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or related fields; Master or Ph.D.,
• 2+ years of work experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics role,
• Demonstrated experience with some or all of the following: A\B testing systems, machine learning, statistics, data visualization,
• Proficient in Python and SQL; Experience in applying machine learning on large datasets, preferably using Snowflake or similar cloud data systems.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
