Job summary

Bupa Acıbadem Sigorta is seeking a Senior Leader to define and drive the enterprise data strategy, governance, and EDW/BI initiatives in Türkiye. You will partner with senior leadership to enable data-driven decisions, build data literacy, and lead a high-performing, diverse data team across functions.

The role requires 10+ years in data management or architecture, strong governance expertise, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10+ years in data management or data architecture.
• 3-5+ years of people management experience.
• Strong expertise in data governance frameworks (e.g. DAMA-DMBOK).
• Hands-on experience with large-scale EDW transformations and data migrations.
• Fluent English for strategic reporting and learning.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company’s end-to-end enterprise data strategy and roadmap.
• Establish and manage Data Governance frameworks including data ownership, standards and data quality processes.
• Lead the design, development and delivery of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and BI initiatives.
• Partner with business units and senior leadership to enable data-driven decision making and effectively manage stakeholders across functions.
• Drive data literacy, training and adoption initiatives across the organization.
• Provide architectural guidance on modern data architectures (Data Modeling, Data Mesh, Data Fabric, etc.) and technology selection.
• Lead, develop and manage high-performing data teams with a strong focus on leadership maturity and sustainable team growth.
• Ensure strong reporting discipline by establishing structured, consistent, and business-impact-driven reporting frameworks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in data management, data architecture or business intelligence and 3-5+ years of people management experience
• Strong technical depth in data architecture, SQL, data modeling and ETL processes
• Proven expertise in Data Governance frameworks (e.g. DAMA-DMBOK)
• Hands-on experience in large-scale EDW transformation and data migration projects
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams
• Ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, structured and actionable business insights
• Demonstrated reporting discipline with experience in building executive-level reporting and tracking mechanisms
• High leadership maturity with experience in leading teams through change and building a data-driven culture
• Fluent English for strategic reporting and continuous learning
• Experience in insurance, banking, or finance industry is a plus
• Preferably, experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
• Preferably, knowledge of data privacy and regulatory compliance (KVKK / GDPR)
• Preferably, familiarity with Agile project management methodologies
