Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Code Review Specialist (AI Training) to evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency and readability. This remote, hourly contract role offers flexible hours (10–40 per week) and requires you to read and assess code across languages, providing clear, actionable feedback.

As part of a support team for AI tooling, you will identify bugs and logic errors, rate quality with rubrics, and work asynchronously on diverse coding challenges.

• Ability to read and understand code in at least one programming language.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Clear written communication to explain technical concepts.
• Self-motivated and consistent in evaluations.

• Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

• Review AI-generated code in Python, JavaScript, or other languages for correctness, logic, and quality
• Identify bugs, edge cases, logical errors, and inefficiencies
• Rate code quality using structured evaluation rubrics
• Suggest clear, actionable improvements and explain your reasoning
• Work across a variety of programming challenges spanning multiple difficulty levels
• Complete assignments independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Able to read and understand code in at least one programming language
• Analytical thinker with a sharp eye for logic and detail
• Clear written communicator — you can explain technical concepts in plain language
• Self-motivated and consistent in your evaluations
• No computer science degree or professional coding experience required — hobbyists and self-taught developers are strongly encouraged to apply

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with multiple programming languages
• Experience with debugging, code review, or software testing
• Background in software development, computer science, or a related technical field
• Prior exposure to AI tools or developer workflows
