Jotun Boya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. in Tuzla, Türkiye, seeks a Coating Advisor to provide on-site technical support, ensuring proper surface preparation and coating application to meet specification and contract requirements.

The role involves working with marine teams, traveling as needed, and collaborating with sales and customer service to obtain products and approve specifications for timely project delivery.

Formación

• University degree preferably in Engineering.
• Be fluent in written and spoken English.
• Be competent in MS Office applications.

• Coordinate with Sales and Customer Service for product access and specifications.
• Collaborate with shipyards/owners to improve customer satisfaction.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Provide professional technical advice to our customers, by on-site support on paint application and inspections to ensure that the coating specification is met, and the job is completed according to the contract and the customer’s satisfaction.

The following are alternatives for minimum levels of education and experience required for this position (either/or):

• •Completed high school + >2 years of experience as a Coating Advisor with a competitor
• •Completed high school + >3 years of experience as QC or applicator
• •Completed high school + >3 months as Junior Coating Advisor
• •Completed Team No.1, Level 1

Specific credentials/qualifications required in this role:

• •Jotun induction carried out by HR
• •Team No.1 Level 1 including firefighting and first aid training conducted
• •Following a Senior Coating Advisor for min. 3 months

Technical Service Career Ladder:

To qualify for Coating Advisor Level 2, the following requirements must be met:

• •English Proficiency
• •Team No.1 Level 2 passed
• •Completed Advanced Team No. 1 modules training as required by the relevant concepts

We are now searching for a Coating Advisor to join our Marine Teams in Tuzla.

Job Descriptions

• Enable the quality of application of our paints by ensuring the proper surface preparation and application of the coatings in order to get the best performance of our paints as promised for the specified period of time,
• Work independently on site; give clear instructions to all related parties to ensure our standard is met,
• Contact initiatively with Sales and Customer Service departments for obtaining products and specification modifications, to ensure both quality and timing of the projects,
• Work closely with the owners or shipyard in every step on the process to improve customer satisfaction.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER

_ What We Look For: _

• Have a university degree preferably in Engineering,
• Previous experience on Coatings Inspection will be a plus,
• Be fluent in writen and spoken English,
• Be competent in MS Office applications,
• Have a flexibility to travel both domestic and international,
• Have a valid and clean B class driving license,
• Have completed military service ( for male candidates ),
• Residing in İstanbul Asia or Kocaeli will be preferred
