Job summary

Confidential is seeking an Operations Manager in Istanbul to lead day-to-day clinical research operations and guide regional field teams. You will ensure studies meet quality, regulatory, and contractual requirements while driving efficiency and timelines.

You will build strong sponsor relationships, monitor KPIs, and implement process improvements. The role requires 7+ years in clinical research, travel flexibility, and a leadership mindset with excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in clinical research, including hands-on start-up and ongoing study operations.
• Experience managing field teams and coordinating activities across sites/regions.
• Strong knowledge of GCP, applicable regulations, and ethical/contractual requirements.
• Experience developing, implementing, and improving operational processes and systems.
• Strong understanding of workforce planning, KPI management, and data-driven decisions.
• Comfortable using technology to improve operational efficiency.
• Leadership mindset with clear direction and feedback for professional development.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to changing project needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day clinical research operations and ensure studies are delivered effectively with quality, regulatory, and contractual alignment.
• Manage and support field teams, ensuring workload planning, resource allocation, performance management, and cross-regional collaboration.
• Monitor operational performance via KPIs and data analysis; identify risks and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain oversight of ongoing studies through site visits, follow-up, and sponsor/client communications.
• Build and maintain strong sponsor/client relationships, enabling study delivery and new business opportunities.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the team with clear direction, feedback, and professional development.
• Ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement of processes, systems, quality standards, and CAPA.
• Provide timely reporting to senior management on performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.
