Job summary

Baymak, a unit of BDR Thermea Group, seeks a Head of Quality, Health & Safety and Sustainability in Istanbul, hybrid, for a full-time role. You will drive integrated management systems, QA/QC, supplier quality, and sustainability initiatives at a multinational level with strong leadership and strategic influence.

The position requires a senior professional with global experience, robust ISO knowledge, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Environmental or related).
• 10+ years in Quality, Sustainability, Environmental and/or EHS management.
• Experience in multinational companies or highly audited manufacturing environments.
• Strong ISO knowledge: 9001, 14001, 50001, 45001.
• Experience with OEM or customer-driven quality environments.
• Familiar with environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks.
• Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and crisis management.
• Data-driven decision making and strong analytical capabilities.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of integrated management systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 50001, 45001, 10002).
• Oversee end-to-end Quality Assurance and Control using statistical tools and process capability initiatives.
• Manage Incoming Quality and supplier evaluations to prevent non-conforming inputs.
• Lead root cause analysis and 8D problem solving for corrective actions.
• Represent the company during internal, external, and global audits including TSE and CE certifications.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and drive continuous development.
• Develop and execute sustainability strategies aligned with global standards and environmental assessments.
• Drive waste reduction, energy management, and ISO 50001 compliance.
• Integrate Occupational Health & Safety into quality frameworks and lead risk assessments.
• Lead Lean, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives across functions.
• Coach Quality, Sustainability and EHS teams with KPI reporting to senior management in Türkiye and global stakeholders.
