Job summary

Reed Turkey is seeking a Chief Agronomist to lead agronomy programs under Sustainable Tobacco Production (STP) and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). You will train field technicians, monitor sector innovations, and ensure programs meet customer and internal objectives.

The role requires 5+ years in sustainable agriculture, a relevant degree, and strong English proficiency, with proficiency in MS Office and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or Agricultural Sciences.
• 5+ years of experience in sustainable agriculture.
• Advanced English proficiency required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong knowledge of tobacco production and cultivation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team leadership and management abilities.
• Strong organizational and strategic planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage agricultural practices within Sustainable Tobacco Production (STP), GAP and ALP.
• Prepare, implement, and monitor action plans for the Sustainable Tobacco Program (STP).
• Provide training and guidance to field technicians on STP standards.
• Monitor developments and innovations in the agricultural sector and implement them.
• Develop and improve agronomy programs aligned with objectives and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with the Agronomy team to monitor progress, evaluate performance, and report.
