Job summary

ING Hubs Türkiye is seeking a Chapter Lead – Data & AI Engineering to guide a team of Data Engineers, ML Engineers, and AI specialists. You will ensure technical excellence, build data platforms, and scalable ML/AI solutions while fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

You will also coach engineers, align technology with business priorities, and drive standards across data pipelines, AI systems, and GenAI initiatives to deliver high-impact outcomes in a global context.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in Data, Machine Learning, or AI domains.
• Strong understanding of modern data platforms, ML systems, and AI technologies.
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines, cloud environments, and scalable architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop engineering talent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a chapter of Data & AI engineers, supporting their growth through coaching, mentoring, and performance management while fostering a strong engineering culture.
• Define and drive engineering standards, best practices, and reusable patterns across data platforms, machine learning systems, and AI/GenAI solutions.
• Ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure delivery of data pipelines, ML models, and AI applications in collaboration with architects, tech leads, and cross-functional teams.
• Contribute hands-on to complex or high-impact initiatives when needed, while ensuring consistent and reliable delivery across squads.
• Align chapter capacity and capabilities with organizational priorities, working closely with Product and Tribe Leads.
• Build and strengthen Data & AI capabilities by driving roadmap initiatives, identifying skill gaps, and leading upskilling efforts.
• Promote modern engineering practices and tools, while driving continuous improvement and innovation.
• Collaborate with other Chapter Leads and global stakeholders to ensure alignment on standards, capabilities, and strategic initiatives
