Job summary

WLG seeks an experienced professional to support electromagnetic operations and warfare capability development in a multinational defence programme. The role covers requirements capture, doctrine development, and cross‑agency coordination with senior leadership engagement.

The position requires a master’s or equivalent military qualification in engineering/IS/CS/PM, at least five years in EM operations or warfare, and fluent English for global collaboration within a NATO-aligned framework.

Qualifications

• Master degree or equivalent military college in engineering, information systems, computer science or project management.
• Brief senior leaders and decision-makers for 3 of the last ten years.
• Five years of operational knowledge of electromagnetic operations or warfare at tactical or joint level.
• Two of the last ten years in programme or project management in a complex environment.
• Two of the last ten years in a multinational defence organisation.
• Fluent professional English.

Responsibilities

• Supporting development of capability products under the alliance governance model.
• Supporting programme director and project coordinators, including work with agencies and nations.
• Drawing out, capturing, analysing and tracing requirements at every level.
• Developing and reviewing the doctrinal corpus — policies, doctrine, directives, concepts of operation.
• Coordinating across all lines of development and proposing courses of action where they conflict.
• Organising and taking part in workshops, seminars and conferences.
• Collaborating with national and international organisations, centres of excellence and academia.
• Maintaining programme status information and supporting capability validation.
• Identifying lessons and best practice and getting them learned.

A multinational defence organisation is rebuilding its electromagnetic operations and warfare capability. This role supports the programme that delivers it, from requirements through to doctrine and validation.
