GlassHouse is seeking a Backup Technology Consultant to join the Backup Consultancy Operations Team Lead. You will provide expert support for enterprise storage and backup environments as part of a 24/7 Operations team, with remote and on-site involvement as needed.

The role emphasizes configuring and maintaining storage and backup systems, performing installations, capacity planning, upgrades, and DR solutions, and collaborating with teams across databases and virtualization platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience with hands-on backup tech.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of RAID, deduplication, and compression.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 technical support for data storage and backup environments.
• Support storage and backup projects including implementation and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot customer requests remotely or on-site as needed.
• Perform installation, capacity planning, upgrades, and performance monitoring.
• Implement and maintain data protection and disaster recovery solutions.

We are looking for a “Backup Technology Consultant” to be assigned to Backup Consultancy Operations Team Lead.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for enterprise data storage and backup environments as part of a 24/7 Operations team
• Support storage and backup infrastructure projects, including implementation, migration, and upgrades
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer requests remotely or on-site when required
• Perform installation, capacity planning, upgrades, version management, performance monitoring, and incident management for storage and backup systems
• Implement and maintain data protection and disaster recovery solutions for storage and backup environments
• Support backup and restore operations across database and virtualization platforms

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT, with hands-on experience in backup technologies
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Knowledge of storage technologies such as RAID, disk-based deduplication, and compression
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals
• Hands-on experience in storage and server installations
• Preferably experience in backup, storage migration, or infrastructure upgrade projects
• Hands-on experience with enterprise backup software
• Knowledge of backup and restore processes for databases and virtualization environments
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Eager to learn new technologies and approach technical challenges from different perspectives
• Fluency in English
