Job summary

HubX is seeking a Backend Developer to join the ScaleUp studio, working on scalable backend systems and microservices. The role emphasizes ownership, autonomy, and hands-on contribution from day one across diverse projects and templates.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready code, improve integrations, and deploy new releases while adopting best practices in a fast-growing, globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years delivering production-ready backend code in an Agile team environment.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, event-driven microservices, and message queues (e.g., Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ).

Responsibilities

• Develop Backend Applications: Create backend apps and improve system architecture.
• Refine Integrations Between Applications: Improve integrations for seamless interaction between applications.
• Analyze and Resolve Technical Issues: Identify and fix technical and application problems.
• Deploy New Releases: Manage deployment of new software releases to ensure smooth updates.
• Act as a key technical reference within the backend team in our Istanbul office, providing technical expertise and coordinating best practices.

ScaleUp Studio allows users to create realistic photos and videos that resemble their own inputs. With apps like Home AI, MyTunes, PlantApp and AI Video, it offers various applications under the Graphic & Design and Photo & Video categories. Some of your responsibilities

• Develop Backend Applications: Work on creating backend applications and enhance the quality of our system architecture.
• Refine Integrations Between Applications: Improve and fine-tune the integrations to ensure seamless interaction between different applications.

• Act as a key technical reference within the backend team in our Istanbul office, providing technical expertise, supporting team coordination, and ensuring alignment with best practices.

What we look for

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 year of experience delivering production-ready backend code in an Agile team environment.
• Technical Knowledge: Solid experience with RESTful APIs, event-driven microservices, and message queues (e.g. Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ), ideally on a cloud-native/serverless stack.
• Proficiency: Proficient in Node.js (TypeScript) or .NET (C#, .NET Core).
• Database Knowledge: Knowledge of databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Caching Strategies: Experience with Redis and effective caching strategies.
• Version Control: Proficient in Git version control, including branching and merging strategies.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservice architectures and event-driven systems
• Hands-on project experience with GCP, AWS, or other cloud platforms
• Familiarity with whitelabel system structures and chatbot technologies
• Experience working with .NET / C#
