Job summary

AVL Türkiye Araştırma ve Mühendislik seeks a safety-focused engineer to perform ISO 26262 analyses for automotive ECUs, inverters, and BMS. You will drive hardware safety metrics (SPFM, LFM, PMHF), evaluate architectures against ASIL goals, and collaborate with customers, suppliers and assessors to strengthen safety processes and culture.

We value hands-on experience with safety analyses (FTA, FMEDA, DFA), knowledge of semiconductors, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Strong understanding of hardware development.
Solid knowledge and practical experience with ISO 26262 Functional Safety.
Proven experience performing FTA, FMEDA and DFA.
Experience in automotive hardware for safety-critical systems.
Understanding of safety architectures, diagnostics and safety mechanisms.
Experience with semiconductor components, power electronics, MCUs and safety analysis.
Familiarity with requirement management and safety tools such as Ansys Medini Analyze and APIS IQ-FMEA.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fluent English speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

Perform safety analysis for next generation automotive ECUs, inverters and BMS.
Drive hardware safety metrics analysis (SPFM, LFM, PMHF).
Evaluate hardware architectures against safety goals and ASIL requirements.
Interface with customers, suppliers and external assessors on safety topics.
Contribute to process improvements and the organization's functional safety culture.
Support project and quality management activities.
