Job summary

Henkel is seeking an Automation Engineer to join the Maintenance team in a manufacturing setting in Turkey. You will support electrical and automation maintenance activities, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to minimizing downtime while improving equipment reliability across the plant.

You will work with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure continuity of operations, participate in safety and HAZOP activities, and conduct mandatory electrical inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Hands-on electrical maintenance and industrial automation experience.
• Practical knowledge of Siemens PLC (Step 7 / TIA Portal) and SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventive/predictive maintenance practices.
• Experience with packaging, filling, or preparation processes preferred.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and automation preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure safe operation of production equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and automation breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability.
• Monitor and support Siemens PLC (Step 7 / TIA Portal) and SCADA systems.
• Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to optimization of electrical and automation systems.
• Maintain maintenance documentation in the maintenance management system.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and maintenance standards.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams for continuity and reliability of operations.
• Participate in Process Safety and HAZOP activities with safety team.
• Assist in improving facilities electrical infrastructure.
• Conduct mandatory electrical inspections.

Join us as an Automation Engineer and play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical and automation systems within our manufacturing operations.
