Job summary

Confidential is seeking an Architect to lead design, development, and delivery of construction projects across the MENA region. You will drive design through construction documentation, coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Architecture with 5+ years of experience in architecture, construction, or hospitality development, with strong AutoCAD and Revit skills and excellent English.

Responsibilities

• Lead design from concept through construction documentation and project completion.

• Review design packages, submittals, shop drawings, and samples for compliance with specs.

• Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and contractors to address technical risks.
• Support handover, snagging, and close-out documentation.

Job description

We are looking for an Architect to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of our construction projects across MENA.

The role will lead and support architectural activities across a range of building and development projects, from concept design and detailed design through construction documentation, site coordination, and project completion. The Architect will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with approved designs, technical requirements, quality standards, and project objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and support architectural design activities from concept development through detailed design, construction documentation, and project completion
• Prepare, review, and coordinate architectural drawings, specifications, construction details, material selections, and other technical documentation in line with project requirements and applicable standards
• Coordinate architectural requirements with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery
• Review design packages, contractor submissions, shop drawings, material samples, and method statements to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards
• Conduct design reviews, site assessments, site visits, mock-up inspections, and final inspections, identifying and resolving architectural and technical issues
• Monitor contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to address technical issues, manage risks, and maintain project progress
• Support construction, project handover, snagging, close-out documentation, and final inspections, ensuring architectural works meet project requirements and quality standards
• Ensure compliance with applicable local regulations, project specifications, approved designs, and relevant industry standards

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural design, project development, and on-site execution
• Significant experience in architecture, construction, hospitality development, or project management
• Proven experience in the design and execution of industrial facilities, production areas, hospitals, and offices
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required
• Strong working knowledge of Revit, BIM workflows, and construction documentation
• Previous experience in the MENA region is highly desirable
• Excellent command of English
• Arabic language proficiency is considered a strong advantage
• Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills
