Job summary

Motlow State Community College is seeking an Adjunct Reading Learning Support Faculty (Pool) to provide high-quality instruction for assigned courses in reading and related disciplines. The role may involve teaching dual enrollment and traveling to multiple campuses.

The position requires a Master’s degree in the discipline or related field, with eligible qualifications for regional accreditation, and may benefit from a doctoral degree and CC teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in discipline or 18 graduate hours in discipline earned from a regionally accredited institution by the date of application.
• Qualifying fields include Reading, Language Arts Education, Adult Education, Reading Education, Literacy Studies.
• Preferred: Doctoral degree and 3 years CC teaching experience; ability to teach additional Motlow fields.
• Must be able to teach up to 12 credit hours per semester and travel to multiple campuses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses per catalog description and approved syllabus.
• Teach dual enrollment classes at area high schools when assigned.
• Travel to multiple campuses as assigned.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership on curricular/programmatic needs.
• Stay current with developments in the field and incorporate updates into instruction.
• Support curricular and co-curricular activities within the college.
