Job summary

Motlow State Community College is seeking an Adjunct Theatre Faculty (Pool) to provide high-quality instruction in theatre courses. The pool position may involve teaching at multiple campuses and in dual enrollment settings, with courses offered according to the catalog and approved syllabi.

The instructor will collaborate with faculty and academic leadership, stay current with theatre pedagogy, and contribute to student success while supporting the college’s mission and policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in theatre or a qualifying field earned from a regionally accredited institution by the application date.
• 18 graduate semester hours in discipline or qualifying field earned from a regionally accredited college or university by the application date.
• Qualifying Fields: Theatre, Theatre Arts, Drama, Dramatic Art.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned in accordance with the catalog description and the approved course syllabus.
• Teach dual enrollment classes at area high schools as assigned.
• Travel to multiple campuses as assigned.
• Collaborate collegially with faculty, department lead/program director, and academic leadership about curricular and programmatic issues and needs.
• Stay current with developments in the teaching discipline and incorporate updates into instruction.
