Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing and accounting for purchase, sales, return, price difference, import, and export transactions,
- Monitoring customer and supplier accounts, performing account reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies,
- Carrying out the review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts,
- Actively participating in monthly and annual financial closing processes,
- Supporting the preparation and posting of necessary adjustment, reclassification, provision, accrual, and valuation entries in accordance with IFRS, in addition to statutory accounting records under the Turkish Uniform Chart of Accounts and Turkish Tax Procedure Law (VUK),
- Supporting VAT returns, VAT refund processes, and other statutory reporting activities,
- Reviewing fixed asset and depreciation records,
- Reviewing import costs and related accounting entries,
- Analyzing and resolving outstanding accounts, abnormal balances, pending entries, and reconciliation differences at period-end,
- Supporting independent audit, Sworn-in Certified Public Accountant (YMM), and internal audit activities,
- Contributing to the implementation of internal control and segregation of duties principles within accounting processes,
- Taking an active role in improving and enhancing the effective use of Logo ERP and e-Flow processes,
- Developing improvement proposals to reduce manual tasks and promote process automation and digitalization,
- Monitoring accounting-related KPIs and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Public Finance, or a related field,
- Preferably at least 3 years of experience in general accounting,
- Good knowledge of the Turkish Uniform Chart of Accounts and basic tax legislation,
- Experience in monthly closing and account reconciliation processes,
- Basic knowledge of IFRS or willingness to further develop expertise in this area,
- Good command of Microsoft Excel and an interest in working with data,
- Preferably experienced in Logo ERP,
- Willingness to participate in ERP, automation, and digitalization projects,
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills,
- Ability to pay attention to detail while maintaining a broader business perspective,
- A proactive and responsible approach, with strong follow-up skills, a willingness to learn and develop, and a team-oriented mindset.
