Job summary

Vorwerk Türkiye is seeking a Financial Controller in Istanbul to oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports. You will support strategic decisions with in-depth financial insights and coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage accounting operations.

The role requires at least 5 years in finance with strong knowledge of accounting principles, ERP systems, and fluent Turkish/English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• MBA or professional qualifications will be considered a strong plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in Finance with a proven track record in controlling.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Excellent writing and speaking skills in Turkish and English.
• Proficiency in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and finance experience.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end reports for management, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow.
• Plan, direct, and manage provision of accurate, timely financial data for decisions.
• Lead the reporting function—margins and volumes analysis and consolidation.
• Analyze financial performance and propose actions to support strategy.
• Ensure effective working capital management.
• Prepare budgets with local team and central management; monitor variances.
• Report according to company requirements and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Highlight deviations vs. previous year and budget plans; drive actions.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Financial Controller located in Istanbul. As a Financial Controller, you will oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and monitor financial performance. You will also manage the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and periodic financial reports, as well as support strategic decision-making by providing in-depth financial insights and recommendations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing accounting operations are key aspects of this role.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Preparing month-end reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Plan, direct, and manage the provision of accurate, timely, and objective financial data from which informed management decisions can be made.
• Lead the reporting function - Margins and volumes analysis consolidating and analyzing results for the Management
• Analyze financial performance, propose and implement actions to support strategy
• Ensure effective management of working capital
• Analyze business operations, contractual commitments and follow up projects from financial point of view
• Prepare the budget with local team and central management and follow up the evolution of actual results compared to budgeted targets
• Responsible for reporting according to Company requirements and for guaranteeing compliance with Business processes also for statutory/tax regulations
• Analyze reporting to highlight main deviations compared to previous year and budget plans and ensure proper business reporting to follow up the actions defined
• Develop policy and procedure infrastructure, maintain & ensure adoption throughout Company’s Finance operation.
