Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 5–7 years of experience, Turkish/IFRS knowledge, ERP proficiency (SAP or Oracle), and Turkish and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7 years accounting/finance experience, multinational or financial controlling preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish GAAP, IFRS, and tax legislation.
• Experience with audits and internal control processes.
• Proficient in ERP systems SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel.
• Fluency in Turkish and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accurate financial statements.
• Supervise general ledger, AP, AR, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Turkish GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Support statutory and group audits with documentation and coordination.
• Manage internal control frameworks and accounting policies.
• Deliver management reporting and financial insights.
• Collaborate with regional finance and Turkey operations on financial matters.
• Contribute to ERP/system enhancement and process automation projects.
• Mentor and oversee accounting team to drive performance.

Position Overview

As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations in Turkey, ensuring accuracy, compliance with local regulations, and consistency with group financial policies. You’ll collaborate with internal teams—including finance and operations—and support financial reporting, audits, and process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Supervise general ledger activities, accounts payable, receivable, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with local Turkish GAAP and group-wide IFRS standards.
• Support statutory and group audits, preparing documentation and coordinating with auditors.
• Manage and enhance internal control frameworks and accounting policies.
• Prepare and deliver management reporting packages and financial insights.
• Collaborate with regional finance and Turkey operations teams on financial matters and process improvements.
• Contribute to accounting-related projects, including ERP system enhancements and automation.
• Mentor, guide, and oversee the accounting team to ensure performance excellence.

• To carry out ATO Registration procedures (General Assembly Decisions, Board of Directors Decisions, Address Changes, Branch Opening / Closing, Capital Increase, etc.)
• Additional tasks and projects requested by Line Manager and accounting duties as necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. A professional certification (CPA, SMMM, YMM) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum of 5–7 years in accounting or finance, ideally with experience in a multinational or financial controlling environment.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish accounting principles, IFRS, tax legislation, and reporting standards.
• Experience managing financial closes, audits, and internal control processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Fluency in Turkish and English (written and spoken).
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to manage a small team effectively.
