Job summary

TRUST RECRUIT PTE. LTD. seeks a dedicated WSH Officer to implement and maintain the company's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) management system in Singapore.

The role requires ensuring compliance with the WSH Act, conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and training programs, and coordinating with MOM and other authorities. Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the company's WSH Management System, policies, procedures and programmes.
• Ensure compliance with the WSH Act, Regulations, MOM requirements and Codes of Practice.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and workplace observations to identify hazards.
• Develop, review and implement Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and related plans.
• Monitor high-risk activities and ensure appropriate control measures.
• Advise management and workers on workplace safety requirements and risk control.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, training and inductions.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness exercises and drills.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain WSH records and reports; liaise with MOM and authorities.
• Monitor contractors for safety compliance on site.
• Prepare WSH reports and management updates.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the company's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Management System, policies, procedures, and programmes.
• Ensure compliance with the WSH Act, WSH Regulations, MOM requirements, Codes of Practice, and other statutory requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and workplace observations to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
• Develop, review, and implement Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), Risk Management Plans, and Method Statements.
• Monitor high-risk work activities and ensure appropriate control measures are in place.
• Advise management, supervisors, and workers on workplace safety requirements and risk control measures.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, WSH training, and safety induction programmes.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness exercises, evacuation drills, and rescue exercises.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor the implementation and closure of corrective actions arising from inspections and investigations.
• Maintain WSH records, inspection reports, incident reports, training records, and statutory documentation.
• Liaise with MOM, WSH Council, clients, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities on WSH matters.
• Participate in WSH committee meetings and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
• Conduct PPE inspections and ensure proper usage of personal protective equipment.
• Monitor workplace environmental conditions, including noise, dust, heat stress, lighting, and ventilation where applicable.
• Support company WSH campaigns and safety initiatives to strengthen the safety culture.
• Prepare WSH reports, safety statistics, and management updates.
• Stop or escalat[e] unsafe work where there is an imminent risk to workers' safety and health.
• Perform other WSH-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or a related discipline.
