Job summary

SHINRYO CORPORATION is seeking an experienced Safety professional to assist the Safety Manager and lead the on-site safety team across projects in Singapore. You will ensure safe work practices, supervise subcontractors, and enforce WSHE rules.

You will coordinate with MOM, NEA, PUB, and other authorities to maintain high safety standards. The role requires conducting risk assessments, organizing training, and preparing HSE reports, with a focus on preventing accidents and maintaining workplace

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in LTA projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety and health regulations.
• Ability to lead safety teams and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Experience in preparing and presenting HSE reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety Manager and lead the safety team and subcontractors on site.
• Monitor safety and health aspects across projects and enforce safe work practices.
• Carry out risk assessments for all projects and maintain housekeeping at site.
• Act as Workplace Safety and Health Officer under the Workplace Safety and Health Act.
• Report to the Project Manager and liaise with site teams on WSHE issues.
• Enforce safety requirements and internal safety rules and regulations.
• Prepare safe work procedures in line with MOM regulations.
• Investigate WSHE infringements and accidents and recommend remedial actions.
• Conduct daily site inspections and assist in rehabilitation after injuries.
• Organize monthly WSHE committee meetings and submit reports to authorities.
• Develop documentation for risk assessments and safe work procedures.
• Provide internal HSE training for site personnel and lead health campaigns.

Job description

• Assist the Safety Manager in Oversee and lead the Safety team & subcontractors in the implementation of Company's safety systems at sites.
• Monitor safety and health aspect of all projects and workers safe work practices.
• Assist in Carry out risk assessment for all projects and maintain high level of safety and housekeeping at site.
• Function as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer as required under the Workplace Safety and Health Act and perform duties in accordance to the Code of Practice for Environmental Control Officers.
• Reporting to the Project Manager, you will liaise closely with the Site Team on workplace safety, health and environmental issues to maintain a high level of safety and housekeeping at the site.
• Enforces all safety requirements and in-house safety rules and regulations.
• Prepare, organize and implement safe work procedures and measures in accordance with MOM Regulations.
• Conduct investigations of WSH infringements and industrial accidents and recommend remedial actions.
• Conduct daily inspection of project work and activities.
• Assist with the rehabilitation of workers after accidents or injuries and make sure they experience a satisfactory return to work.
• Organize monthly WSH Committee meetings and prepare HSE reports and submit statutory reports in the required formats, including safety indices.
• Liaise with MOM, NEA, PUB and other relevant authorities on all WSHE issues.
• Develop documentation for the Project Risk Assessment, Safe Work Procedures, etc.
• Conduct internal HSE related training for site personnel.
• Manage and lead a team of safety workers.
• Organise HSE promotion and health campaigns, training courses to enhance HSE awareness.

Additional Requirements:

Candidates with at least 5 years of experience in LTA projects will be an added advantage.
