Job summary

SPEC ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Safety & Health Officer to oversee workplace safety at company worksites in Singapore.

You will lead crane operations oversight, conduct regular site inspections, and ensure compliance with RA/SWP requirements. The role requires effective communication with workers, clients and management and the ability to travel to multiple project sites. • Requires relevant Workplace Safety and Health qualification.
• Experience in construction, lifting operations, crane works or machinery moving is an advantage.
• Familiarity with risk assessments, safe work procedures and site safety documentation.
• Able to communicate effectively with workers, clients and management.
• Organised, observant and able to work independently at different project sites.

Job Scope

• Oversee workplace safety and health matters at the company’s worksites, including lifting operations, lorry crane works and machinery moving.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe acts, conditions and potential hazards.
• Prepare, review and implement Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), lifting plans and other required safety documents.
• Ensure employees, operators, subcontractors and visitors follow company safety procedures and site requirements.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and training for workers.
• Monitor lifting activities, including crane set-up, ground conditions, lifting gear and coordination among the lifting team.
• Investigate accidents, near misses and unsafe occurrences; prepare reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain safety records, inspection checklists, training records, permits and other relevant documents.
• Liaise with clients, site management, subcontractors and relevant authorities on safety matters.
• Support safety audits, inspections and investigations, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture and provide practical safety guidance to management and site teams.

Requirements
