Job summary

SPEC ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Safety & Health Officer to oversee workplace safety at company worksites in Singapore.

You will lead crane operations oversight, conduct regular site inspections, and ensure compliance with RA/SWP requirements. The role requires effective communication with workers, clients and management and the ability to travel to multiple project sites. Qualifications

• Requires relevant Workplace Safety and Health qualification.
• Experience in construction, lifting operations, crane works or machinery moving is an advantage.
• Familiarity with risk assessments, safe work procedures and site safety documentation.
• Able to communicate effectively with workers, clients and management.
• Organised, observant and able to work independently at different project sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety and health matters at worksites, including lifting operations and crane works.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe acts, conditions and hazards.
• Prepare, review and implement RA, SWP, lifting plans and safety documents.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures by employees, subcontractors and visitors.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks and trainings for workers.
• Monitor lifting activities and crane set-up, ground conditions and equipment.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses; prepare reports and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, permits and training records.
• Liaise with clients, site management, subcontractors and authorities on safety matters.
• Support safety audits and follow up on corrective actions.
