ST Engineering in Singapore East invites applications for a Workplace Environment, Health & Safety Officer. The role serves as the WSHO and Fire Safety Manager, ensuring compliance with WSH and Fire Safety Acts, conducting risk assessments, audits, and training to uphold a safe workplace.

You will develop EHS policies, coordinate with vendors, investigate incidents, and support management reviews. Diploma in engineering and MOM/SCDF registrations are required.

Competenze

• Diploma or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• Registered WSHO with MOM.
• Registered Fire Safety Manager with SCDF.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/45001 and WSH regulations.
• Proficient with MS Office for reports and record-keeping.
• Good teamwork, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• NCO qualification is a plus.
• ECO qualification is a plus.

Job Description

• Serve as the appointed Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) and Fire Safety Manager (FSM) to ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, Fire Safety Act and all relevant regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, implement fire emergency response plans including conducting regular fire drills and inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure that corrective actions are taken.
• Assist in developing and monitoring Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programme and policies.
• Ensure all work activities comply with local WSH regulations, including managing safety training and certification for all personnel.
• Coordinate and oversee external vendor / contractor management to ensure products and services provided complies to internal and regulatory safety requirements.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents and near misses. Compile reports and recommend effective and sustainable preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
• Plan and conduct internal and external audits as per statutory requirements (i.e. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001)
• Monitoring and implementation of EHS work plan to achieve the intended objectives.
• Plan and coordinate Industrial Health Monitoring reports.
• Review and update of EHS documents
• Coordinate and conduct EHS Safety Committee meeting.
• Coordinate and support EHS Team Lead on EHS Management Review meeting
• Ensure all relevant EHS documentations are maintained and updated for retrieval as and when required.
• Promote and drive safety awareness programs to foster a strong safety culture within the organization.
• All other ad-hoc duties as inform by Management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum a Diploma in an engineering or equivalent field.

• Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
• Must be a registered Fire Safety Manager with Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF)
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Management Systems and local WSH and Fire Safety regulations
• Ability to use relevant Microsoft applications for report writing, documents updates, analysis and develop EHS related contents.
• Excellent team spirit, strong technical competence, good negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Candidates with Noise Control Officer (NCO) Qualification will be an added advantage.
• Candidates with Environmental Control Officer (ECO) Qualification will be an added advantage.
