Job summary

RRecruiter is seeking a qualified professional to oversee Workplace Safety and Health, Fire Safety and environmental and quality-related activities in a Singapore-based, regulated engineering environment.

The role requires WSHO registration with MOM and FSM registration with SCDF, plus at least 3 years in EHS safety management. You will drive compliance, audits and continuous improvement across ISO standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• Registered WSHO with MOM Singapore.
• Registered FSM with SCDF.
• Minimum 3 years of EHS/WSH or safety management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation and workplace safety requirements.
• Good working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Strong communication, coordination, investigation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) and appointed Fire Safety Manager (FSM), overseeing statutory safety and fire protection requirements.
• Monitor compliance with Singapore WSH, fire safety and environmental regulations, and provide guidance to operational teams on required controls.
• Maintain and improve EHS and quality management systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections and internal audits, and follow up on identified gaps and corrective actions.
• Lead or support incident and accident investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
• Manage fire safety programmes, emergency preparedness activities, fire drills and related response procedures.
• Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities on inspections, audits, reporting and compliance matters.
• Support safety committees, management reporting and organisation-wide safety initiatives, including tracking action items through to closure.

About the Role
