Job summary

LPS is seeking a Wintel Engineer to support enterprise IT environments in a 24x7 shift. You will monitor Windows Server and AD, perform first-level troubleshooting, and escalate to senior engineers as needed. You will collaborate with Network Operations, DBAs, and Linux/Unix teams to ensure system stability and uptime.

The role involves routine operational tasks, patching, runbook adherence, and shift handovers. Experience with VMware/Hyper-V, ITIL processes, and basic scripting is advantageous.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in Windows Server/WinTel system support or operations.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server administration (2012/2016/2019/2022).
• Understanding of directory services concepts (AD, DNS, DHCP).
• Active Directory basics (user management, OU navigation, group membership, lockout checks).
• OS patching processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Windows Server and Active Directory services using enterprise tools.
• Respond to alerts, perform initial triage, and escalate per SOPs.
• Document findings from routine health checks.
• Serve as first responder during shifts for Windows Server incidents.
• Perform basic troubleshooting (Event Viewer, service status, disk/CPU/memory checks).
• Create/update incident tickets with clear information.
• Escalate to L2 WinTel engineers or vendor support when needed.
• Support daily health checks, ITSM tickets, and user account administration.
