Job summary

NCS in Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented System Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our enterprise infrastructure. The role focuses on Windows Server and VMware, ensuring performance, security, and reliability across the organisation.

You will manage AD, DNS/DHCP, backups, and runbooks, while collaborating with IT teams on capacity upgrades. Strong scripting in PowerShell and solid problem-solving are essential for operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on system/infrastructure engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Windows Server administration and management.
• Expertise in VMware vSphere/ESXi virtualization.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP and troubleshooting.
• Experience with storage management (SAN/NAS).
• PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Active Directory, DNS and DHCP administration.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
• Analytical problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Windows Server environments across 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022.
• Administer and optimize VMware vSphere/ESXi infrastructure, including host config and VM provisioning.
• Monitor system performance and tune to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot complex infra issues and document solutions.
• Manage Active Directory, user accounts, groups, and security configurations.
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Develop infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with IT teams on capacity planning and upgrades.
• Perform regular security assessments and apply patches.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell.
