Ridik Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced Windows and VMware administrator to manage Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and VMware ESXi environments. The role includes on-call duties and regular maintenance to ensure high availability and robust backup processes.

You will collaborate with L1 engineers, document deployments, and support server deployments, configurations, and related procedures while maintaining security and reliability of the virtualization landscape.

Competenze

• Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems and repair server hardware.
• VMware VSphere 8x experience or significant exposure to VMware technologies (vMotion, HA, DRS).
• Manage Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange 2019 and Exchange Online.
• Provide escalation support to L1 engineers and participate in on-call rotations.

Descrizione del lavoro

• In depth knowledge and experience on Windows servers (2019 and 2022)
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File & Print servers, MS Cluster, Server backup, AD Federated Services & Windows PowerShell.
• Hardware Management of Dell and Lenevo servers
• Firmware update and Remote management tool configuration knowledge of physical servers
• Install and configure OS on physical servers and virtual machines
• Configuration of RAID on physical servers
• Basic skill to analyze and troubleshoot hardware issues
• Manage Exchange 2019 and Exchange online
• Manage and Troubleshoot Esxi and Virtual Servers running

Responsibilities

• Provide a point of escalation and support to the L1 Engineers.
• Participate in weekend maintenance activities, as required.
• Perform routine system administration duties in a Windows Active Directory environment.
• Monitor servers and troubleshoot problems.
• Produce appropriate documentation for server deployment, configuration, and related processes.
• Vulnerability assessment fixing of findings for new servers and existing servers
• Participating regular patching activities
• Participates in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/9 coverage of critical issues and internal systems.

Requirements

• Install and configure and maintain server operating systems and repair server hardware
• VMWare VSphere 8x Experience or significant exposure to all of the following technologies:

VMWare VSphere and its features (vMotion, HA, DRS etc…)

• VM creation, templates, snapshots and VM backup
• Administer and support VMware platform
• Maintain appropriate documentation on virtualization
• Provide a point of escalation and support to the L1 system engineers
• Monitor ESXi servers and troubleshoot problems
• Produce appropriate documentation for application deployment, configuration, and related processes.
• Responsible for the operations and upkeep of the private and shared virtualized environments.
• Work closely with other virtualization engineers on new implementations as well as maintaining the current environments.
• Act as a technical escalation point within Central Operations for virtualization specific issues.
• Responsible for implementing and supporting process and systems are in place to deliver highly available virtualization platforms.
• Creates documentation for environments, processes, technical training, and support procedures.
• Provides training and technical leadership to Tier I personnel.
• Provide additional support when necessary for backup and storage functions.
• Drives efficient and effective resolution of customer issues.
• Participates in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage of critical issues and internal systems.
• Must have working experience supporting, maintaining and administering core VMware technologies.
• Must have experience performing Enterprise level Project Implementation and support.
• Also must have strong working & technical knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and telephone skills, and experience in a professional service environment, with responsibility for supporting multiple applications and network environments.
• Must have Good verbal and written communications skills.
• Must have very strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, advanced / Higher/ Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
• At least 2 - 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
