Job summary

Private Advertiser in Singapore seeks a hands-on Fabrication Supervisor to lead the fabrication and welding team and ensure compliance with HSE policies. The role drives operational excellence, reviews WPS, maintains 6S in workshops, and ensures production schedules are met.

The position requires hands-on welding experience, ability to participate in LEAN initiatives, and collaboration with multiple departments to resolve production issues and meet KPI targets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to company HSE policies and procedures.
• Ensure 6S program is maintained in all workshop and storage areas.
• Providing day to day leadership and management of the Fabrication team.
• Participate in, and where necessary, lead LEAN initiatives to improve operational efficiencies to drive operational excellence.
• Monitor all Fabrication and weldling operations.
• Review all WPS prior to work starting and highlight any issues to welders and fitters.
• Ensure fabrication work orders are executed per production schedule.
• Select welding procedures, evaluate, and specify welding repairs and stress relief treatments, to ensure compliance with international and customer standards.
• Review technical drawings and ensure that production issues are addressed by the responsible departments.
• Participate in technical audit of 3rd party, sub-contract, fabrication contractors.
• Investigate Fabrication NCR’s and implement corrective and preventative measures to meet agreed quality KPI’s.
• Ensure work undertaken is in accordance with applicable industry standards and Dril-Quip processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure all Inspection equipment, welding plant, flux ovens, welding rod heaters and quivers are in calibration.
• Review fabrication routing and timing on works orders.
• Control purchasing/inventory of all associated welding consumables.
• Ensure welding consumables are checked and maintained in climate-controlled store.
• Review actual times against routing times after work orders are completed.
• Manage employee overtime and vacation to meet current workload and schedule.
