Job summary

KANDENKO COOLING SYSTEM PTE. LTD. Singapore is seeking a skilled Welder to join our fabrication team. You will perform welding and metal fabrication using MIG, TIG and ARC processes, read drawings and ensure quality and safety.

Responsibilities include preparing, fitting, aligning and tack-welding components, inspecting welds, operating equipment, and collaborating with supervisors and engineers on site.

Qualifications

• Relevant welding experience is preferred.
• Welding certification or technical qualification is advantageous.
• Experience in MIG, TIG, ARC/SMAW or structural welding is beneficial.
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Strong knowledge of welding safety procedures and PPE.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work overtime, shifts or at project sites; 5+ years experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform welding and metal fabrication works using MIG, TIG, ARC/SMAW and other approved welding processes.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols and work instructions.

• Prepare, cut, fit, align and tack-weld metal components before final welding.

• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel and other metal materials according to specifications.

• Operate and maintain welding machines, grinders, cutting tools and related equipment.

• Inspect completed welds for defects and carry out necessary repairs or rectification.

• Ensure welding work meets required quality, dimensional and safety standards.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.

• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe welding practices.

• Work closely with supervisors, fitters, engineers and other team members to complete assigned projects.

• Perform other welding and fabrication duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements
