Job summary

Proskill Workforce Pte Ltd is seeking a Welding Inspector for steel structure works based in Toa Payoh, Singapore. This 6-month contract requires immediate commencement and a 10-hour work day, with on-site supervision and strict quality controls.

The ideal candidate holds CSWIP 3.1 and has hands-on experience with welding inspections, NDT coordination, and documentation of inspection results to ensure compliance with project standards and safety requirements. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification required.
• Experience inspecting welding for steel structures.
• Familiar with welding codes, standards and QC procedures.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct welding inspections for steel structure works, including material, fit-up, welding and NDT.
• Review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
• Verify welder qualification records and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Perform visual inspections of welding works to ensure quality and compliance with applicable standards.
• Witness and coordinate NDT activities where required.
• Review and maintain welding inspection reports, quality records and related documentation.
• Identify welding defects and non-conformances, and monitor corrective actions.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct welding inspections for steel structure works, including material, fit-up, welding and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).

• Review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).

• Verify welder qualification records and ensure compliance with project requirements.

• Perform visual inspections of welding works to ensure quality and compliance with applicable standards.

• Witness and coordinate NDT activities where required.

Job Requirements

Possess a valid CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification or another qualification specifically accepted by the client.

Relevant experience in welding inspection for steel structure works.

Familiar with welding procedures, material inspection, fit-up inspection and NDT requirements.

Knowledge of welding codes, standards and quality control procedures.

Good communication and documentation skills.

Able to commence work immediately or on short notice.
