Job summary

AlwaysHired Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a senior Welding Engineer to lead welding engineering, optimize procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards. The role covers qualifications, tooling development and technical guidance to improve process efficiency and product quality.

Based in the East Area, the position runs Monday to Friday during office hours, with door-to-door transport provided islandwide. NDA and registration details are included in the candidate briefing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of welding experience in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, standards and engineering practices.
• Experience with NADCAP compliance and audits.
• Familiarity with AWS D17.1 welding standards and qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead welding engineering processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Develop, review and optimize welding procedures, parameters and repair methods.
• Establish and maintain welding process qualifications and welder certifications.
• Provide technical guidance to resolve welding/manufacturing challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, quality and performance.
• Develop welding jigs, fixtures and tooling to support operations.
• Oversee welding process compliance and support NADCAP audits and quality reviews.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.

The Role:

• Lead and provide technical expertise in welding engineering processes, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and quality requirements.
• Develop, review and optimise welding procedures, process parameters and repair methods to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
• Establish and maintain welding process qualifications, including welder certification and process validation.
• Provide technical guidance and engineering solutions to resolve complex welding and manufacturing challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, product quality and operational performance.
• Develop and implement welding jigs, fixtures and tooling to support manufacturing operations.
• Oversee welding process compliance and support NADCAP audits, technical assessments and quality reviews.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of relevant industrial welding experience.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, standards and engineering practices.
• Experience in NADCAP compliance and audit requirements.
• Familiarity with AWS D17.1 standards and welding process qualification.
