Job summary

Manpower Staffing Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd. seeks a Specialist, Engineering - Welding to own welding processes, govern engineering standards, and drive continuous improvement in aerospace manufacturing.

You will liaise across Engineering, Production, Quality and EMS, ensuring compliant, safe and high-quality welding operations. The role requires deep welding process knowledge and NADCAP awareness, with a focus on Right First Time and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Min 10 years' experience in industrial welding, preferably aerospace.
• Solid knowledge of welding processes, standards and best practices.
• Experience with NADCAP compliance and audit requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving (Six Sigma) and PM skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME and engineering authority for welding processes.
• Develop, review, and approve welding process parameters and standards.
• Ensure weld repair validations comply with Rolls-Royce, NADCAP, AWS D17.1.
• Verify and maintain welder/welding operator certifications (AWS D17.1).
• Design welding jigs, fixtures, and tooling to boost productivity.
• Review drawings, specifications, and docs to support manufacturing and repair.
• Lead development and optimisation of welding processes for quality and safety.
• Provide technical support and turnkey solutions for welding issues.
• Review and approve Process Data Cards, SOPs, and deviations.
• Act as engineering focal point for NADCAP and Part 145 audits.
• Lead RCA and implement corrective actions for welding non-conformances.
• Ensure HSE compliance and support Zero Harm programme.
• Promote zero-defect culture for RFT quality, delivery and safety.
• Support performance by improving productivity and reducing CONQ.
