Qualifications

• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings and measurements.
• Proficient in welding high temperature alloys using TIG process.
• Perform blending repair on turbine blades/aeroderivative products.

• Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines.
• Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.
• Maintain and repair all machinery.
• Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.
• Follow safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, masks and safety shoes.
• Monitor machinery for usage and temperature.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Determine right welding equipment or method based on specs.
• Identify metals and materials for welding projects.
• Operate equipment to cut and shape metal in preparation for welding.
• Align components using callipers, rulers and clamps.
• Fuse metal components using welding equipment.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to find flaws.
• Conduct regular safety inspections on machines.
• Use electrical or manual tools.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Set up and weld high temperature alloys in the repair of Turbine Blades/Aeroderivative products using TIG process
• Perform blending repair of Turbine Blades/Aeroderivative products
• Ensure product quality, equipment care, meet production output/pace, housekeeping and schedules.
• Adhere to all applicable EHS rules and regulations and report immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
• Carries out other duties as assigned
